The materials of plastic cosmetic packaging containers usually include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), K material, acrylonitrile-styrene (AS), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), acrylic (PMMA), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The choice of these materials is directly related to the safety, stability and environmental friendliness of the product.
PP: Commonly used to make cream bottles and caps with thicker container walls.
PE: commonly used to make soft and flexible packaging containers.
AS: high transparency, good toughness, commonly used in vacuum bottle body.
ABS: easy to colour, used for plating accessories.
PMMA: high transparency, but poor chemical resistance, need to be used with the liner.
PET: environmentally friendly material, lightweight, not broken, with high barrier and chemical resistance, widely used in blowing bottles.
2.The Moulding Process
Injection moulding:
The plastic raw material is heated and softened, and then injected into the mould for cooling and forming.
It is suitable for making cream bottles, caps, stoppers, etc. with thicker container walls.
Commonly used materials include PP, PETG, PMMA, ABS and so on.
Blow moulding process:
The plastic raw material is heated and softened, then air is blown into it to make it expand, and then it is placed in the mould to be cooled and shaped.
Capable of producing plastic bottles of various structures and shapes, such as lotion bottles, toner bottles, etc.
Commonly used materials include PET, PE, PP, etc.
Extruder production:
Plastic raw materials are added into the extruder, heated to melt and plasticise and then extrude the molten parison, and then put into the mould for blowing and expansion moulding.
Suitable for containers of specific shapes and sizes.
3.The Subsequent Processing
Remove residue and burr:
After moulding, the containers need to remove the residues and burrs on the surface to get a smooth surface.
Assembly:
Installation of accessories such as lids, nozzles, pump heads, etc. to ensure sealing and ease of use.
Decorative treatment:
According to customer's demand, carry out decorative treatment such as screen printing, hot stamping, labelling, etc. to increase the visual effect and brand recognition of the product.
Screen printing can be done with ordinary ink or UV ink, UV ink has better effect, gloss and three-dimensional sense.
Quality inspection:
Perform appearance inspection to ensure that the container has no obvious defects, scratches or deformation.
Perform dimensional measurements to verify the accuracy and consistency of the container.
Conduct physical and chemical tests to ensure that the containers comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
4.Packaging And Shipment
Packaging:
Use appropriate protective materials and packaging methods to prevent damage and contamination.
Especially the transparent or translucent colour bottles that have done the process need to be prevented from scratching each other by collision.
Shipment:
According to the order and logistics requirements, the packed plastic containers will be shipped.
Re-inspection and check before shipment to ensure the quality and quantity of products are correct.
